Talk about Surprises!! Santa was riding his red sleigh through Knoxville, (no doubt a little relaxation before the the big night), and he decided to stop by the Time Warp Tea Room for Tuesday bike night! He ask specifically for the little Moriarty boy, to whom he gave a special gift of premium 2-Stroke Oil. (only Santa could know that Dan recently picked up an old two stroke Suzuki). Then Santa proceeded to give everyone who had been good, which was nearly everyone there, a candy cane, and a Wish for a Merry Christmas.
Santa gave all of the Time Warp Elfs a big hug, and a good talking to to those whose behavior could have been a little better this year.
Of course Santa found the plate of cookies that Peggy made. (Peggy knows how to score points with men with white beards)
Before Santa left Happy Holler he walked across the street and visited Little Cindy Lou at the Chop Shop. (Not to be confused with Cindy Lou Whoo who stars in the Grinch that stole Christmas)
And then Santa loaded up his Red Sleigh, told everyone to be good, to not forget to change their oil, and rode off to the North Pole.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from everyone at the Time Warp Tea Room!

August 27th and 28th is the First Extreme Enduro held in Tennessee. The Kenda Tennessee Knock Out (TKO) is being held at the Trials Training Center in Sequatchie Tn, just outside of Dunlap (Near Chattanooga). This should be an incredible event, and is attracting the best Riders from around the world. There are amateur and pro classes, but grid size will be limited. The "Knockout" format means that after each heat races, only the fastest move on. If you have ever watched an Extreme Enduor (such as the Erzberg) you know that this will be something to see. Ukulele Jam! This Monday 6:30
This Monday the 11th (and every 2nd Monday) there will be a Ukulele Jam at 6:30. "But I don't have a Ukulele!!" You cry. No problem, a couple extra Ukes will be available for those of you who have always yearned to play the 4 String Wonder. Everyone is welcome. There is often a stigma attached with rowdy Ukulele crowds, but generally speaking we find them a peaceful bunch.

Big Meeting , BBQ, and Barn Finds at the Time Warp
The last Tuesday of each month is the Monthly meeting of the Time Warp Vintage Motorcycle Club, and this months meeting was well attended (as most are). We had a special menu, Smoked Pork Loin Sandwiches, secret recipe baked beans, and slaw purchased from someplace that only Peggy knows about. There were lots of cool door prizes donated by Dual Sport Touring, and the usual assortment of neat bikes.
Proving that there are still lost bikes out there in barns that need a good home, Dave Groves rode in on recent barn find, a 1976 Honda XL 250 with only 1,700 original miles.
Also seen this week (sort of the opposite of an XL Honda) was an MV Agusta F4.
Visitors included Tammy and Dan Galliher of Bethalto Illinois. They were in Johnson City for the Sport Touring Rally and rode down just to visit. He on a Concours 14, her on a 1250 Bandit. After riding 550+ miles to the rally, Johnson City to Knoxville for BBQ had to be easy.

Their journey started in Charleston S.C., and their goal is to visit as many Tea Rooms as possible. (Sounds like a pretty fun trip). Follow their travels on their blog, www.teatripster.com . Vote for this Dessert!
Spotted at lunch on Wednesday, this incredible looking Banana Split cupcake is Sarah's creation. One of the regrets that I may take to my grave is that I didn't scarf this down when I had the chance. (Dan didn't make the same mistake). You never know when there is something special on the menu at the Time Warp!
