Tennessee Knockout Extreme Enduro at Trials Training Center

August 27th and 28th is the First Extreme Enduro held in Tennessee. The Kenda Tennessee Knock Out (TKO) is  being held at the Trials Training Center in Sequatchie Tn, just outside of Dunlap (Near Chattanooga). This should be an incredible event, and is attracting the best Riders from around the world. There are amateur and pro classes, but grid size will be limited. The "Knockout" format means that after each heat races, only the fastest move on.  If you have ever watched an Extreme Enduor (such as the Erzberg) you know that this will be something to see. For all of the details go to www.trialstrainingcenter.com

Ukulele Jam! This Monday 6:30

This Monday the 11th (and every 2nd Monday) there will be a Ukulele Jam at 6:30. "But I don't have a Ukulele!!" You cry. No problem, a couple extra Ukes will be available for those of you who have always yearned to play the 4 String Wonder. Everyone is welcome. There is often a stigma attached with rowdy Ukulele crowds, but generally speaking we find them a peaceful bunch.

Big Meeting , BBQ, and Barn Finds at the Time Warp

The last Tuesday of each month is the Monthly meeting of the Time Warp Vintage Motorcycle Club, and this months meeting was well attended (as most are). We had a special menu, Smoked Pork Loin Sandwiches, secret recipe baked beans, and slaw purchased from someplace that only Peggy knows about. There were lots of cool door prizes donated by Dual Sport Touring, and the usual assortment of neat bikes.

Proving that there are still lost bikes out there in barns that need a good home, Dave Groves rode in on recent barn find, a 1976 Honda XL 250 with only 1,700 original miles.
Also seen this week (sort of the opposite of an XL Honda) was an MV Agusta F4.
Visitors included Tammy and Dan Galliher of Bethalto Illinois. They were in Johnson City for the Sport Touring Rally and rode down just to visit. He on a Concours 14, her on a 1250 Bandit. After riding 550+ miles to the rally, Johnson City to Knoxville for BBQ had to be easy.
